Data Analyst Business Analytics Team.

The Role.

The client is going through an exciting period of growth and as a result the Business Analytics Team is looking for you to join as a Data Analyst to help them analyse and report on the operations and services of the Development Division. If you are a proactive, self-starter this is a great opportunity to join the team.

You will work within the Business Analytics team, but will work closely with the Development division.

Your responsibilities in the role include:

  • Working with Development managers to create and develop reports that will help the manage their team effectively.

  • Proactively analysing data generated by Dev teams to highlight relevant areas of interest for team managers and divisional management.

  • Advising on best practice – how to get the most from data.

  • Working with the wider business analytics teams to solve infrastructure challenges and deliver enabler features.

  • Assisting in the managing the data collection and analysis of the Division's big projects.

  • Contributing material for monthly reporting for senior management.

  • Managing content across the division.

  • Progress reporting and communication on projects and initiatives within the Division.

About You.

You will have proven commercial experience in:-

  • Data analytics,

  • Tableau,

  • ETL tools such as Alteryx and SQL,

  • Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills,

  • Knowledge of Agile principles and project management practice,

  • Connecting to data through APIs (using Python or R),

  • Technically astute with a passion for technology,

  • Interest and experience working in a software development business.

Experience of the following would also be desirable:

  • Performance management tools – KPI frameworks, OKRs.

  • Atlassian suite – JIRA, Confluence etc.

  • Open source reporting tools – OpenTSDB, Grafana.

  • Dev version control tools – GIT, SVN etc.

  • Experience of working with Big Data platforms such as Splunk.

  • The client does have high academic hiring standards and prefers degree qualified candidates and you will have a passion to use technology, new concepts and new ideas to solve complicated problems.


  • Highly Competitive salary circa £50,000 - £70,000 pa negotiable on experience,
