Information & Data Exploitation Specialist.

As part of the IT department, you will be working on projects that make a real difference to the community. You will be ensuring that the data captured as part of the transformation of the end user experience translates to usable information to help ensure effective & efficient service delivery to the community.
Title: Information & Data Exploitation Specialist
Location: Exeter, Devon Commutable from Plymouth, Bristol, Taunton, Yeovil
Duration: Fixed-Term to 31 July 2020 to cover maternity leave
Salary: £29,000 - £30,500 on appointing increasing up to £32,000

Working within the Information & Data Exploitation Architectural Services function, you will work to establish & maintain recommended practices in data exploitation. You will be helping them understand what it is possible to do with the data & information they hold, & the ways this can transform the way they work.
The role underpins the effective exploitation of Information Assets, & will work closely with both Information Asset Owners & the Information Assurance team to deliver the Information Usage Revolution that is central to the clients strategy.
Skills Required. Demonstrable experience of:
Use, exploitation & management of structured, unstructured & geospatial data.
Self-service business reporting & analytic tools (e.g. Qlik, SSRS, PowerBI, Tableau, Pyramid).
Data Analysis techniques & methodologies.
Managing & working with both cloud & on-premises data solutions.
Working with a data software development, information reporting or data & information management function.
Both facilitating & participating in business design activities, covering elicitation & capture of requirements & explaining complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
The Open Source (OS) software market & experience of using OS alternatives to proprietary data & information exploitation products.
Exposure to User Centric design approaches ideally using Agile techniques would be a plus.
