Hybrid – 1 day per week near Slough
We are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic global organisation looking for a Cyber Security Engagement & Community Coordinator to join its friendly and collaborative EMEA cyber security team.
This is not a deeply technical cyber security role. It is an interesting and varied opportunity for someone with experience in cyber security awareness, communications, events, community engagement or programme coordination who would like to broaden their exposure to cyber security.
You will work closely with the EMEA Head of Cyber Security and a fabulous group of colleagues across the UK, Europe and internationally. The environment is supportive, collaborative and genuinely interesting, with plenty of opportunity to get involved in high-profile regional activities.
What you'll be doing
- Helping organise and deliver a major EMEA cyber security conference, including venues, speakers, agendas, content and stakeholder coordination.
- Supporting the development and launch of an EMEA cyber security community SharePoint site, working alongside an external SharePoint consultancy.
- Coordinating regional working groups covering European cyber security regulation, including NIS2 and the Cyber Resilience Act.
- Researching credible open-source cyber security intelligence and curating relevant news, regulatory updates, threats and industry developments for the EMEA security community.
- Building relationships with cyber security, IT, data protection and other stakeholders across multiple European businesses.
- Supporting other cyber security community and engagement activities as required.
About you
You don't need to be a technical cyber security specialist.
We're looking for someone who is organised, confident communicating with different stakeholders and comfortable taking ownership of activities. Experience in cyber security awareness, events, communications or community engagement would be particularly relevant.
Some previous exposure to cyber security is important, together with an interest in developing your knowledge further. SharePoint Online experience would be useful but is not essential.
Why consider it?
This is a great client, doing interesting work within a large international environment. You'll work with experienced, welcoming colleagues and gain exposure to a wide range of cyber security activities rather than being confined to one specialist area.
For someone looking to broaden their cyber security experience while bringing strong organisation, communication and engagement skills, this could be a particularly rewarding six months.
Initial 6-month contract with the possibility of a further extension.
Please email your CV to Laura Ramm at lramm@itecopeople.co.uk to progress matters, along with a statement explaining your interest and suitability for the role.
