You'll work across digital, data, design, change, operational and supplier teams to ensure delivery activity is well-planned, well-controlled and aligned to wider business priorities. The organisation is going through an important period of change, so this role will suit someone who can combine strong delivery discipline with a practical understanding of housing operations, resident-focused services and the need to deliver change safely and sustainably.

What you'll be doing As Delivery Manager, you'll lead assigned projects or workstreams from planning through to delivery. You'll create and maintain clear delivery plans, schedules, milestones, RAID logs, dependency views and progress reporting. You'll support delivery across Agile, Waterfall and hybrid environments, working closely with Product Owners and project teams to maintain clear priorities, manage backlogs and keep delivery moving at pace. You'll also facilitate Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives, while ensuring risks, issues and blockers are identified early and escalated appropriately. A key part of the role will be coordinating activity across multiple teams and suppliers, making sure dependencies are understood, decisions are made at the right time and senior stakeholders have clear, accurate insight into delivery progress.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of assigned projects or workstreams, ensuring clear plans, milestones and delivery rhythms are in place.
  • Maintain accurate delivery artefacts including plans, RAID logs, dependency trackers and progress reports.
  • Apply appropriate delivery governance and controls to ensure activity is transparent, auditable and well managed.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to maintain clarity of scope, priorities and backlog readiness.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and support sprint-based delivery.
  • Coordinate activity across digital, data, change, design, operational and supplier teams.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies, escalating early where needed.
  • Prepare accurate status updates, governance packs and delivery dashboards.
  • Support budget monitoring, financial risk tracking and business case inputs where required.
  • Help improve delivery practices and ways of working across teams.

You'll be confident managing delivery plans, risks, issues, dependencies and stakeholder expectations. Housing association or social housing experience is essential. The successful candidate will understand the operating environment, the importance of resident-focused services, and the need to balance pace of delivery with service continuity, adoption and operational readiness. You'll also bring a strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methods, with the flexibility to use the right approach for the situation.

Essential experience and skills
  • Previous experience working within a housing association, social housing provider or closely related social housing environment.
  • Proven project or delivery management experience in a complex organisation.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches.
  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and supporting sprint-based delivery.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, RAID and dependency management skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project or similar planning tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate work across technical, operational and supplier teams.
  • Experience producing clear, accurate delivery reporting for senior stakeholders.
  • Calm, organised and proactive approach to managing delivery challenges.
