Summary

Overview

Director of Business Change. 
 
As the Director of Business Change you will work closely with the Executive Team and Leadership Team to lead the clients portfolio of change, ensuring alignment to strategic goals, delivered by an effective team of change professionals, and supported by a fit for purpose delivery framework. You will be an expert in change leadership and form strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that change is delivered and embedded effectively. 
 
Duties. 
  • To directly lead large strategic projects/programmes and a rolling portfolio of change, working with the Executive led Portfolio Steering Group (PSG), that aligns to, and supports the delivery of the strategy. Portfolio will include business transformation projects, IT system implementations, stock transactions, M&&A, large restructures and regulatory/risk projects. 
  • Lead the Dynamics D365 planning, delivery and roll out across the organisation, including the roadmap, change management, supplier selection && management, implementation, embedding and handover to IT. This includes working with relevant Executive sponsors to formulate business plans and seek approval from the Executive Team/ Group Board. 
  • Ensure that all projects are supported by suitable and robust business cases which identify the outcomes, investment and benefits to be realised for each project. 
  • Ensure that strong governance is exercised to schedule, monitor, manage and timely deliver the change portfolio, which demonstrates effective/efficient use of the investment and realisation of benefits defined in business cases. This will include quarterly reporting to the Executive Team. 
  • Maintain an appropriate programme and projects delivery framework that is right sized and creates the necessary environment for successful delivery. This will use a combination of recognised methodologies – waterfall, agile, change management, and business analysis. 
  • Build and develop a team of project and change professionals capable of leading change delivery which will flex with the volume of projects/programmes.  
  • Develop employees and build a thriving culture which coaches, develops, trains and guides the team, including a succession plan. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the business to define business cases, ensuring benefits are clearly defined and measurable. 
  • Create a framework for benefits tracking which holds Sponsors to account and informs future business cases. 
  • Identify and appoint where relevant and required, external support/suppliers to the capability and capacity to deliver the change programme.
  • Deliver broader responsibilities as required as part of the Leadership Team 
 
Title:             Director of Business Change. 
Location:        Midlands/ Remote. 
Salary:           &£100,000 - £120,000 pa plus bonus, pension, car allowance, 32 days leave. 
Start Date:     To appoint by Christmas 2023 to start by April 2024.    
 
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE. 
  • Portfolio management at a strategic level, in complex business environments, leading large teams. 
  • Programme and project delivery, including business transformation and change. Across all types of projects, not just IT. 
  • Experience and understanding of different methodologies and how they should be applied. 
  • Strong team leadership and development. 
  • Skilled stakeholder management, with the ability to forge effective relationships, solve and resolve challenges and influence at all levels. 
  • Appropriate change management qualifications. 
  • Degree level education or equivalent experience.
