Head of AI Delivery

Head of AI Delivery & Business Engagement. 
12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
London (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)
 
We are supporting a leading London-based organisation delivering a major AI & Automation transformation programme focused on driving measurable improvements in efficiency, service quality, and insight. This is a newly created opportunity has arisen for a Head of AI Delivery & Business Engagement to lead AI delivery and act as the critical bridge between business demand and technical execution.
 
The Opportunity
 
This role offers the chance to play a central part in delivering a cutting-edge, agentic AI platform with tangible, measurable outcomes — a highly visible and career-defining piece of work. You will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of AI and automation initiatives, ensuring ideas are shaped effectively, prioritised appropriately, and delivered into business-as-usual environments. 
 
Your Key Responsibilities:

• Lead delivery across both pro-code and low-code AI/automation initiatives
• Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and delivery teams
• Shape and refine demand into clear, deliverable opportunities
• Manage a prioritised pipeline of initiatives, ensuring alignment with governance and strategy
• Oversee delivery across internal teams, citizen developers, and third-party suppliers
• Coordinate governance, reporting, risks, and dependencies across the programme
• Track and evidence benefits realisation and outcomes
• Support adoption and transition of solutions into operational use
• Provide oversight of low-code delivery via a Centre of Excellence model
• Lead and develop a small delivery-focused team

 
What They’re Looking For: 
 
AI experience while ideal is not essential — enthusiasm and interest in the space are key.
You will have a strong background in software delivery, stakeholder engagement  and project/programme management, ideally gained within a high-performing private sector or consultancy environment. You will bring:

• Proven experience delivering complex software / digital initiatives
• Strong business engagement and stakeholder management skills
• Experience leading delivery across multiple workstreams or portfolios
• A track record of working closely with development teams (pro-code environments essential)
• Experience managing suppliers and working within structured governance frameworks
• The ability to translate business needs into structured delivery pipelines

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to AI, automation, or low-code platforms
• Familiarity with citizen development or centre of excellence models
