We&’re seeking an experienced PMO Manager to join our client on a 3-month contract and set up a fit-for-purpose PMO for a high-profile programme. This is a hands-on role requiring proven experience in establishing PMOs from the ground up, ideally within complex, multi-project environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a full audit of the current programme environment, testing against a best practice template and quickly defining any gaps.
Filling gaps with tried and tested templates, working with the Programme Director to establish ways of working, including –
- Set up programme governance, terms of reference,
- Establish programme management framework including stage gateways.
- Establish reporting cadence from project highlight reports through to Board reporting.
- Support Planning activities to ensure clear milestones, outputs and outcomes
- Establish a Risk management framework for the programme aligned to corporate risk practices.
- Help support the identification and management of dependencies within and across projects.
- Work with the programme director to provide structure and discipline, ensuring the programme delivers on time and to expectations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a PMO Lead setting up PMOs from scratch.
Strong PMO planning, governance, and organisational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and pragmatically, engaging effectively with stakeholders.
Skilled in risk management and dependency mapping.
Ideally, experience in the housing sector is preferred.
Contract Details:
Duration: 3 months
Rate: £550/day (Outside IR35)
Location: Mostly remote, with occasional travel to London for key meetings.
Start Date: ASAP
