QA Engineer – Automation

Location: London – 2 days a week onsite, remainder remote
Rate: TBC – Inside IR35
Start date: 12 October
Duration: 6 months

We're recruiting a QA Automation Engineer to help ensure business applications and enterprise platforms are robust, reliable and ready for release.

You'll combine automation expertise with test planning and coordination, working closely with internal teams and third-party suppliers to drive quality across new solutions, changes and upgrades.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test strategies and plans covering functional, integration, regression, UAT and performance testing.

• Oversee supplier testing, reviewing test documentation, scripts and results.

• Coordinate user acceptance testing and implementation rehearsals.

• Develop automated tests and identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency.

• Manage defects and retesting through to resolution.

• Define release quality criteria and provide clear reporting on test outcomes, risks and readiness for go-live.

• Improve quality assurance practices across projects and suppliers.

Skills and experience

• Proven QA and testing experience, including oversight of third-party suppliers.

• Experience designing and delivering test strategies and plans.

• Experience writing automated tests using C# and Python.

• Knowledge of automation tools such as Postman, Selenium, Cypress and RSAT.

• Experience with SaaS or packaged business applications.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, NEC Housing or similar enterprise platforms.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or other test management tools.

• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple testing activities.

• A testing or quality assurance qualification, such as ISTQB.
